Theseus battles Minotaur

Black-figure Amphora with lid 600 BC. Used to transport wine. Theseus battles Minotaur (half man and half bull), who he found at the center of the labyrinth (maze), and kills him with his sword. With the help of Ariadne he escapes from the labyrinth and returns to his ship, for the return trip to Athens. (Original Sold)
